Imperfect fruit and veg is produce a supermarket turned down over a small mark or an odd shape. It comes from the same farms and it tastes the same. We pack it into boxes and deliver them free across Sydney every Tuesday, from $39.
What imperfect means
A cucumber that grew into a ring. Three bananas fused into one. A carrot with two legs. Supermarkets buy fruit and veg to a standard for size, shape and colour. Produce that misses the standard can be turned away, sometimes a whole batch at a time, over the smallest imperfection.
None of that changes how it tastes or how long it keeps. It is completely fine to eat.
Where ours comes from
We buy from the same farms the supermarkets buy from. Some of what goes in your box is fruit and veg a supermarket turned down over a mark or a shape. The rest is simply what is in season and good that week.
Every box is packed by hand on Tuesday morning and delivered that day. Nothing sits in a cold room for a week.
Why it costs less
The same fruit and veg at the supermarket is typically 30% more expensive. Produce that misses a cosmetic standard costs less to buy, and we pass that on. Delivery is free on every order, so the price on the box is the price you pay.

Why it matters

Is imperfect fruit and veg safe to eat?
Yes. The difference is how it looks: a mark on the skin, an odd shape, a size a supermarket did not want. It changes nothing about how it tastes or how long it keeps.
Is everything in the box imperfect?
No. Some of it is produce a supermarket turned down over a small mark or an odd shape. The rest is what is in season and good at the markets that week.
Are fruit and veg boxes cheaper than the supermarket?
Ours typically is. The same fruit and veg at the supermarket is typically 30% more expensive, and we do not charge for delivery.
What if something in my box is not right?
Tell us. If your first box is not right, for any reason at all, we refund it in full. After that, message us and we will sort it out with a replacement on the next run or a refund.
